Overview
Riviera High School is a co-educational boarding school in Kabuga, 15 kilometres east of Kigali, founded in 2007. It runs three curriculum tracks — Cambridge International, BTEC, and the Rwanda National programme — across a student body of around 600. TaylorField built and deployed the eSchool portal for Riviera from their Kigali office: separate login portals for staff, students, and parents, all hosted at rhs.eschoolrw.net.
The Challenge
A boarding school of 600 students on three different academic tracks generates a lot of moving parts. Parents are not on campus and need a way to see what their child is doing without calling the school. Students need access to their own academic record. Staff need to manage and communicate across a large population without the whole thing collapsing into email chains and phone calls. The school needed one system that covered all three groups.
Our Solution
We built and deployed the eSchool portal with three separate access points. Parents log in to track their child’s academic progress and pick up updates on assignments, quizzes, and school notices. Students have their own portal with the same visibility over their own record. Staff manage everything from the admin panel — records, communications, academic updates. The system sits on the school’s own subdomain, rhs.eschoolrw.net, and is linked from the main school website. TaylorField’s Kigali office handled the build and handles ongoing support.
