Overview
YourAlareno is a private membership platform for African Christian singles in the diaspora — specifically those who are 25 or older and looking to get married, not just meet people. TaylorField built the site: registration, member profiles, search filters, and login-gated access, all on a custom WordPress build.
The Challenge
No off-the-shelf platform fit. Generic dating tools don’t account for the cultural specifics that matter to this audience — faith, ethnicity, age, and intent. The client also had a hard requirement that profiles stay completely private. Anyone not registered and logged in should see nothing.
Our Solution
We built a gated membership site on WordPress. New members fill out a structured sign-up form — who they are, what they are looking for — then search other members by gender, age range, and country. The filter covers 190+ countries, which matters for a diaspora community spread across the world. Profiles are only visible after a verified login. That was non-negotiable from the start and it stayed that way.
