Overview
Osamede is a 2025 Nigerian historical fantasy film produced by Lilian Olubi under Gold Lilies Global Services. Set in the Benin Kingdom during the 1897 British invasion, it follows an orphaned girl who discovers she is the chosen protector of the sacred Aruosa stone. The film screened at the Cannes Film Market in May 2025 and released in Nigerian cinemas nationwide on October 17, 2025. Budget: ₦850 million. TaylorField built the official website.
The Challenge
A film going to Cannes needs a website before it gets there. Press, festival programmers, and international visitors all land on it looking for different things — the story, the cast, screening dates. At the same time, it has to look like it belongs to the film. Osamede has a strong visual identity: colonial-era Benin Kingdom, supernatural mythology, a ₦850M production. A generic film site wasn’t going to cut it.
